Your own mind is a sacred enclosure into which nothing harmful can enter -except by your permission. -Arnold Bennett
We make the choice to corrupt our minds. Choose better! Once your mind is shot, so are you.
We are assaulted on all fronts. The money is in getting people’s attention. The more eyeballs, the more money. You are the target. If you give your attention to the wrong things, you could deviate from the path you were meant to be on.
Jesus said it would be better to pluck out the eye that causes you to sin than for your whole body to be cast into hell (Matthew 5:29). You follow where your eyes go. Though the things you see and hear may seem delightful, weigh them carefully. There may be a candy-coated poison trying to lure you away from the true prizes in life.
The Virtue of Prudence
There is an unlimited wealth in having wisdom that goes beyond money, possessions, and social status. We can all grow in wisdom if we choose to pursue it. King Solomon regarded as one of the wisest to have lived said: Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding, for the gain of it is better than gain from silver, and its profit better than gold. –Proverbs 3:13-14
Can you hear the call of wisdom? It is there, we only have to listen.
