Do you have a purpose in this world? It is no small miracle that you are here. What are the odds of you being conceived and surviving long enough to read this? One in a billion, maybe a trillion or more? What you have been given is a precious gift. What will you do with it?
When I was younger, I just wanted to fit in. I lacked self-confidence and didn’t want to be the odd one in the group. Looking back, I should have cared less about my differences. Those differences made me who I am. Ask any of friends and co-workers and “different” might be how they describe me.
There are outliers in this world that have separated themselves from the masses. They live on the fringe and do not participate in what society deems normal. They live a purpose driven life, and what makes them unique also makes them very valuable. They are the ones actively changing the world for the better.
I might not be a cutting-edge scientist or a technological genius, but I can be great in my own way. I can make my community better, maybe even the world better. I can make a valuable contribution. But I can’t do it sitting on the couch watching the same stuff everybody else is watching. I can’t fall off into complacency thinking greatness is for other people. I have to be brave, follow my heart, and work my tail off in honor of this gift of life I have been given.
